  • I began professional technical writing at Epic Systems Corp in 2019. I updated and maintained document library that reached over 15 million views per year, used by healthcare providers and staff that cover more than 60% of American patients.

Through the COVID pandemic, I worked on a special team that wrote guidelines based on fast-changing government guidance to keep staff and patients safe as they entered hospitals overwhelmed by the disease. I was recognized with an award for my contributions in 2021.

I continued my technical writing as freelance writer and contractor, working on open-source applications and plastic manufacturing software.

Most recently, I helped spearhead an overhaul of documentation totaling over 1,500 pages for a data management software company as they transitioned from a traditional hosted model to a Software-as-a-Service model.

While most of my documentation is proprietary and covered by NDAs, I bring with me extensive experience across some of the most important industries in the United States, from finance to healthcare. I am detail oriented, collaborative interviewer and writer.

If you have the SMEs, I have the know-how to pick their brains and create elegant, agile documentation.

  • Visual branding is only half the battle! I create easy-to-reference brand guidelines with a focus on both visual elements and textual communication.

I have created a variety of promotional videos and scripts for both internal and external stakeholders, generating excitement and buy-in for new products and features. I contributed to industry-leading white papers as an editor and tester.

I oversaw training for new hires in my areas at Apple retail in Madison, WI, and at Epic. I have created coursework, testing, and lectures for topics, including procedure implementation, best practices, and inclusivity.

Please see my Corporate Branding page for examples of some brand-centric work I have done in the past.

  • As a student at the University of Missouri, I was part of a student-led think tank and journal, the Kinder Forum on Constitutional Democracy. It was there I had my first ever publication.

I would go on to write reports and summaries of lab- and fieldwork conducted under the oversight of Dr. Napoleon Chagnon, including materials that were presented at multiple academic conferences, including the Human Behavior & Evolutionary Society.

As an archaeologist, I contributed to the published findings from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, University of Tennessee’s Ayn' Gharandal Project in Jordan, and Harvard’s Archaeological Expedition of Sardis in Turkey. Some of my reports are viewable in each site's respective databases.

My work in academia culminated in my thesis, "King of All the Arabs". I examine and dispute the established archaeological records of Roman-Arab interaction after the 1st century CE. It was published through the University of Missouri in 2017.

My roots in non-fiction writing, began in Missouri's renowned School of Journalism. I learned the fundamentals of journalistic practice and integrity and completed coursework in communications and journalism legality. My journalistic pieces primarily encompass the world of pop culture, publishing articles and blogs about motorsports, tabletop games, and media.

  • My love for writing began as a kid, dictating stories to my stenographer mom.

Now, my creative writing takes the form of novellas, poetry, and plays.

I am also a comic narrative artist and author, examples of which can be found in my visual arts and design portfolio.

I specialize in short form creative writing, with a focus on truth in experience in the Neo-Futurist tradition.

Here are a sample of the microplays I have pitched or performed previously:

I often play with themes of horror and whimsy, and I strive to explore the contact points between those two disparate themes. My poetry collection, Gristle, lives in this confluence. Please sample some of the poems from the upcoming collection:

The First 13, a poetry collection chronicling my relationship with my body as a living canvas will also release sometime in late 2024.

My creative writing also features heavily in tabletop gaming, where I am a wrldbuilder and game master. You can follow along as I build a living, collaborative wiki for my personal realm, Puff Dragon Cay, on World Anvil.

  • I have been active in charitable work most of my life. I have held official and unofficial positions in many community organizations, and I have often had to propose, compose, and edit various documents. I have experience in the 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) realm, and I helped reorganize charters to transition between structures for tax-related purposes.

I was a driving force behind the implementation of grievance policies and equality initiatives.

I interfaced with government agencies, writing reports and grant applications.

While I did not originally write this charter, I was a contributor and editor after its adoption. My fingerprints can be found in the following excerpt:

I craft educational materials for public advocacy, too. Please reference this poster, created in support of affordable housing developments in Chicago.

  • Some of my earliest "jobs" included editing depositions and court hearing documents for my mother, a court reporter. I learned early how to proofread efficiently and effectively.

My editing and copy experience transcends industries and spans more than a decade of real-world experience.
